Savour the Sights
On both April 22nd and May 13th, Jackson-Triggs Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake will be hosting a Savour the Sights dinner event which will offer guests five delicious courses of food and wine pairings served in incredible locations throughout the grounds of this beautiful award-winning winery.
A Culinary Tour of Emilia Romagna
The final dinner in this year’s Niagara Culinary Experiences Series is A Culinary Tour of Emilia Romagna on May 12, 2017 at The Rainbow Room by Massimo Capra restaurant inside the historic Crowne Plaza Fallsview hotel. This remarkable Italian region is home to:
- Tortellini
- Lasagne
- Balsamic vinegar
- Parmesan cheese
- Prosciutto di Parma
- Lambrusco wine
and many more dishes, ingredients, and wines that are staples in Italian cooking. This evening will celebrate the cuisine and wine of this region with a five course dinner with wine pairings, a mix & mingle with chefs Massimo Capra and John Casciato, standing cocktail reception with canapes, and one-night accommodation in a Fallsview room at the Crowne Plaza Fallsview hotel with the Dinner & Hotel Package.
Sip & Sizzle
Hosted at over 20 wineries throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake over four weekends in May, Sip & Sizzle is a unique event that offers guests the chance to indulge in delicious barbeque-grilled food paired with VQA wines in a variety of beautiful winery settings. This is a great spring event to attend with friends and family and is a wonderful way to experience some of the very best wine that the Niagara Region has to offer. Some of this year’s participants include Chateau des Charmes serving 2016 Sauvignon Blanc paired with a grilled prawn, shoot and sprout salad, Peller Estates Winery serving their 2015 Private Reserve Gamay Noir paired with cabernet wild boar sausage on a bun, and Inniskillin Wines serving up their 2013 Reserve Shiraz Cabernet paired with a grilled chicken taco with chipotle and avocado.
